Welcome To The Onnawaffle Mafia

So in December 2010 Laura visited me, and I took a butt ton of videos that I’m just now going through.  This is one of me “breaking in” to a mausoleum in Magnolia Cemetery.  We didn’t do any damage of course, we just looked around.  Exciting, I know.

I got a new camera so I was playing with it last night.  The end result is me talking about passion flowers, squirrels, frogs and the fact that I’m not talking to myself.

The hum at the beginning is the air conditioner, the little jingling is my bracelet (I like bells) and I apologize for sounding twelve.  :B

Tex is a dumbass.  I explain all this in the video but I’ll explain it here too.

For a while now her thing has been putting their puffballs in their water dish.  I’ve watched her do it, she just drops them in, pokes at them a bit with her paw and scoops them out.  Sometimes she carries them around so we’ll step on them because she’s a butthead.  But at some point early this morning she decided to put their electronic chirpy mouse in the water dish.  *headdesk*  Oh Tex.

I finally put it in the garage because when it started chirping again it was really loud.  I have no idea if it’s still going or not.

Sorry it’s so shaky, but I’m really not kidding when I say I’m permanently on vibrate.  I’m also not kidding when I talk about my crazy orange bathroom.  XD  That’s probably the last time Ryan lets me pick out the paint.  (Pro tip!  Take lighting into consideration when picking out paint.)

We put down a set of the water and food dishes that fill themselves as needed while we’re at Disney World so Ryan’s mom just has to y’know… make sure they’re still alive and all that.  Anyway, Tex is making a complete mess with the water dish but at least she’s cute doing it.  (I don’t think she understands that she’s making the air bubbles, so she can’t really catch them.)

Some people trash the movie because 1. It’s not Disney (seriously people, Disney isn’t the only player in the animation game) and 2. It’s not historically accurate.  But eff it.  It’s entertainment, not educational material.  And it’s a lovely idea.

I spent a few hours at my in-laws’ house at Thanksgiving, and at one point Ryan’s mom and Aunt were talking about how her neighbor had been on Letterman.  She asked if I’d seen it but uh… no.  I won’t lie, I think it’s kind of neat that my in-laws basically live next to a band and all, but their music isn’t really my taste (not to mention I’m an atheist) so I’m not a fan.  Still, I looked it up so here you go.  Ignore the fact that it took me four days to remember to do so.

I think it’s just the long haired guy who actually lives in the house and the others just stay there from time to time, I’m not sure.  He’s apparently really nice, comes over to check out Ryan’s dad’s car and has helped with… yard and house stuff and whatever.  They talk about him a lot, it’s a little weird.  Though I think in the time I’ve known them, three people have lived in that house and they’ve been friends with all of them.  XD  IT’S THE HOUSE MAN!

Anywho, I said I’d look it up.  So I did.  And I wanted to share.  This song was a lot less Goddish than I expected.

I’m pretty sure it’s physically impossible for me to hear Caramelldansen without posting this video.  

Georgian Dance (from Varekai)

When I was naming Kà I knew I wanted to stick with the Cirque theme I’d started with Varekai.  Kà is easy enough to figure out, I got that from the Cirque show of the same name.  But looking for a last name was more difficult.

The Georgian Dance has always been my favorite part of Varekai, and in a way it reminds me of Kà (the character).  Fire, red, pride, combat… dancing.  (Okay, maybe not that last part.)  So I looked up who the dancers were and Badri Esatia was one of them.  So there you go.  Ka Esatia.  

Soooo last night while waiting to get tired I decided to copy hiritai mercilessly follow in hiritai’s footsteps and make my own video about my fibro and how I deal with it.  And I don’t know that she was trying to start a revolution or anything, but I think everyone with fibro and a webcam should make their own video and together we can educate the world… or something.

I ran across this one while I was looking at all the Disney vids, and I seriously loved it.  I never would have thought that such an up beat sounding (for lack of a better term) song would pair so well with this show.
